Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture. Adhere to all Safety Health Environment (SHE) and housekeeping requirements at all times. Adhere to Duty of Care Policy at all times.
  • Develop and implement Procurement and Sourcing Strategy, analysis and tracking
  • Sourcing, tendering and contract management
  • Develop and execute supplier management processes to enable effective supply
  • Identify and implement projects to achieve sustainability goals
  • Provide leadership and management of the strategic sourcing and procurement teams
  • Drive cost reduction and cost containment of both direct and indirect spend

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

  • BSc/BEng with experience in supply chain management, or a Masters in business administration with 5year sourcing and procurement experience
  • Experience in manufacturing and/or understanding of the manufacturing environment would be beneficial
  • Specialist knowledge of BBBEE legislation and codes
  • Proven management skills with the ability to optimize team performance and development
  • Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to engage, negotiate and manage key stakeholders and suppliers
  • Strong and confident negotiator with the ability to negotiate at all levels
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Strong analytical skills and problem solving abilities
  • Results orientated with the ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines
  • Commercially and financially aware with experience of managing budgets and contract management
  • Attention to detail and accuracy will be highly required
