Description

RPO Recruitment is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant General Manager for a prominent role in the Mining & Metals industry.

As the Plant General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of a mining plant, ensuring efficient production and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage the overall operations of the mining plant, ensuring smooth and efficient production processes.
Develop and implement strategies to optimize plant performance, maximizing productivity and profitability.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards, promoting a culture of safety across the plant.
Lead and motivate a team of plant personnel, providing guidance, training, and mentoring as necessary.
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of production goals.
Monitor and analyze plant performance indicators, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
Manage the budget and financial performance of the plant, striving to achieve cost savings without compromising quality.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mining, or a related field.
Proven experience in a similar managerial role within the mining or metals industry.
Indepth knowledge of mining operations, including processing, extraction, and maintenance.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
Excellent problemsolving and decisionmaking capabilities, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Sound understanding of safety protocols and regulations, ensuring compliance at all times.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, fostering effective relationships with stakeholders.
