Qualifications and Experience:


  • Matric with relevant experience
  • FMCG or Food Manufacturing industry experience is essential
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role within a production environment, preferably in the food industry.
  • Familiarity with food safety and quality standards.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of equipment and machinery used in production.
  • Ability to analyze and improve production processes.
  • Excellent problemsolving and communication skills.

Responsibilities:


  • Delegate tasks and provide clear instructions for collaborative work to achieve production goals.
  • Coordinate and oversee daily production activities while ensuring adherence to schedules.
  • Optimize production processes to meet targets without compromising product quality.
  • Conduct routine quality checks and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Promote a safety culture and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
  • Identify and address training needs within the team to enhance their skills and encourage continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure equipment is performing optimally and report malfunctions.
  • Monitor resource utilization to optimize efficiency while minimizing waste.
  • Work on costsaving initiatives without compromising quality and safety.
  • Maintain detailed production records and report any nonconformances to management.
  • Ensure team members follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and enforce best practices within the team.
