    Description

    Job Title: Qualified Auto Electrician

    About the Role:

    We are seeking an experienced and skilled auto electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a Trade Test Certificate, a valid EC driver's license, and PrDP.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Carry out diagnostic tests to determine faults on Electronically Controlled Vehicle Management systems.
    • Carry out electrical and mechanical repairs, including system and component maintenance.
    • Carry out maintenance on Electronically Controlled Vehicle Management systems at predetermined intervals.
    • Carry out in-situ diagnostic inspections as part of the maintenance program.
    • Supervise subordinates.
    • Diagnose problems with major electrical systems in a range of commercial vehicles.
    • Test various commercial vehicles' electrical systems for performance and safety.
    • Overhaul starters and alternators for various diesel engines.
    • Strip and assess replacement parts, and install new parts.
    • Reassemble starters and alternators.
    • Test starters and alternators on a test bench.
    • Evaluate electrical systems for faults on vehicles.
    • Work according to safety regulations and Company policies and procedures.
    • Adhere to workshop Health and Safety procedures.
    • Handle all related workshop administration.

    Requirements:

    • Trade Test Certificate.
    • Valid EC driver's license and PrDP.
    • Experience in maintenance of Heavy Duty Vehicles.
    • Experience in fault finding and maintenance of electronically controlled vehicles.
    • Management system and heavy diesel vehicles experience.
    • Relevant supervisory experience.

    Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 per year
