    We're looking for a seasoned Market Consultant to join our People Operations team in South Africa.

    About the Job

    As a Market Consultant, you will be an advocate of Google's culture and values, partnering with business leaders to help them build their organizations and make informed people decisions based on data.

    You'll work closely with our teams to ensure legal and regulatory compliance, manage relationships with employee representatives, and deploy high-priority HR programs aligned to country people plans in Africa.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage market compliance requirements, risk assessments, regulatory requirements, labor relations engagements, local employment policy, and practices to ensure legal and regulatory compliance.
    • Manage relationships with employee representatives and third-parties, working closely with EMEA and Global Labor Relations teams on global labor relations strategy, training, and coaching.
    • Lead the deployment of high-priority country-focused HR programs aligned to country people plans in Africa, and collaborating with relevant teams to ensure end-to-end delivery for HR processes.
    • Work with compliance, process ownership, user support, and COE teams to prioritize and mitigate market risks, and driving and owning recommendations to ensure work is in service of the end-to-end delivery of the Googler Experience.

    About You

    We're looking for someone with a deep understanding of labour law and labour relations environment in Sub-Saharan Africa, strong project management skills, and exceptional problem-solving abilities.

    You should have at least 7 years of experience in a HR Business Partner or HR Generalist role, with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
