Safair Operations, operating as FlySafair, has a vacancy for a Contract and Procurement Manager at our Head

Office Bonaero Park.

The successful applicant will report to the Senior Manager:
Supply Chain.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

-
Manage procurement process from initiation to completion (of

both purchased orders and deliveries);
-
Act as a point of contact between the company and suppliers

& Identify potential suppliers based on project requirements;
-
Together with Finance and Quality Assurance do supplier

evaluation and selection;
-
Assist to negotiate contracts, terms and deadlines with

vendors and suppliers;
-
Monitor price fluctuations of goods and vendor pricing;:


  • Work closely with the legal department to ensure contract

terms are favourable to the company;
-
Meet with supervisors and department heads to understand

the needs across the technical department;
-
Review requests for Quotations (RFQs);:


  • Set procurement and team goals in collaboration with

executive management and other team leads;
-
Ensure that all Delivery timelines are met and to ensure an

>98% OTIF;
-
Maintaining documentation and keeping accurate records of

all procurement activities;
-
Accurately track and report key functional metrics;:


  • Together with the Snr Manager Supply Chain Thoroughly

examine and test existing contracts;
-
Together with the Warehouse manager monitor Consignment

stock and report back to suppliers and Management ;
-
Initiate, coordinate, and enforce optimal operational policies

and procedures;
-
Constantly work to improve processes;:


  • Organise the recruitment and training of staff, as well as

monitoring staff performance and progress;
-
Prepare Annual Budget and plan future capacity requirements;:


  • Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided.

REQUIREMENTS:

-
Grade 12;:

-
Degree in logistics, supply chain management

or business administration;
-
5+ years Procurement experience;:

-
Expertise in procurement procedures and

best practices;
-
Proven experience of previous contract

management;
-
Proficient knowledge of inventory and

inventory controls;
-
Strong knowledge of Procurement Key

Performance Indicators (KPIs);
-
SAM AMO system (Optional);:

-
Qlickview experience (Optional).
