    **Job Title:** Company Secretary

    Main Purpose of Position:

    The role is required to provide professional company secretarial services to local and international clientele.

    Main Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Maintain company statutory records and minute books.
    • Maintain electronic database and statutory records.
    • Draft and register documentation relating to company, close corporation, and trust laws, including changes to company structures, annual returns, CIPC Compliance Checklists, beneficial ownerships, director and shareholder updates, and new company registrations.
    • Liaise with CIPC, TRP, and the Master of the High Court for related registrations.
    • Direct reporting and correspondence to clients regarding registration processes.
    • Assist with administrative duties, such as preparing invoices and opening client codes.
    • Perform in-house administrative functions as required by the HOD.

    Education and Experience:

    • A relevant 3-year Company Secretary Diploma or similar qualification from a recognized institution is advantageous.
    • At least 3 years' experience in a company secretarial environment, preferably within an audit/accounting environment.
    • Experience in attending to beneficial ownership filings and drafting required documentation.

    Technical Skills and Behavioral Attributes:

    • Commercial acumen.
    • A sharp sense of accuracy and attention to detail is essential.
    • Above-average administrative skills and organizational abilities.
    • Ability to work independently and think proactively.
    • Must be a self-starter who is deadline-driven and able to find solutions to work-related matters.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and drive results.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Afrikaans.
    • Strong ability to work affably with others.
    • Willingness to take instructions and be trained, and work together as a team member.
    • Taking responsibility for own development and contributing to team effectiveness.
    • Ensuring a cost-effective service to clients and the firm.
    • Contributing to an enabling environment for highly engaged employees.
    • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office package.
    • Experience in electronic secretarial/statutory packages and task management systems are required.
