Description

The purpose of this position is to be a Lifting Machinery inspector.

To load test and certification of material handling equipment (Forklifts) on company and customer premises in a timely and cost-effective manner so that customer and company requirements are met; maintaining of vehicle records.

Matric, Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
Qualified Diesel and/or Petrol Mechanic, plus experience with forklifts or similar material handling equipment; or Qualified Forklift Mechanic; or Qualified Auto Electrician with mechanical experience and abilities.
Qualified forklift technician, plus experience of minimum of 5 years with forklift or similar material handling equipment; or qualified Forklift Mechanic
Trade test certificate, mechanic
Code 8 driver's licence (for field service technicians)
Valid forklift operator licence
General working knowledge of auto electrical system (ignition, starting, charging, illumination)
Must be willing to travel to remote areas
Must be of sober habits, have high energy levels and general good health must be declared fit for physical performance requirements of these tasks physically able to carry, lift, and move heavy objects; must be able to stand and sit for long periods of time; must be able to bend, stretch, twist and reach with body, arms and/or legs.

Salary:
R25, R40,000.00 per month
