    Description

    Lead Structural Engineer

    A highly experienced Lead Structural Engineer is sought to oversee structural engineering tasks in multi-level buildings, industrial plants, and water retaining structures.

    Responsibilities:

    • Developing, maintaining, enhancing, and overseeing structural engineering tools and software.
    • Crafting a marketing and growth strategy for the division aligning with regional budgets and strategic targets.
    • Managing projects by coordinating divisional resources to meet profit targets, overseeing financial aspects, including invoicing, forecasting, and debtor control.
    • Ensuring structural projects comply with the Quality Management System.
    • Facilitating junior staff growth and professional development through mentorship.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related qualification.
    • Registered as a Professional Engineer with ECSA.
    • Minimum 15 years of experience in structural engineering, specifically in concrete, steelwork designs, industrial plants, and water structures.
    • Detailed understanding of engineering activities required for consulting, engineering services, EPCM, and EPC contracts.
    • Understanding of other engineering disciplines, including process, civil, structural, instrumentation, and electrical.
    • Experience with compilation and submission of tenders and proposals for procurement.
    • Ability to work independently and lead a team.
    • Technical skills: MS Office, CAD, 3D modelling.
