Industrial Relations Consultant

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Relations Consultant to join our team at Labournet in the Durban North area, around Umhlanga/Ballito.

Duties & Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Retaining all clients and providing expert industrial relations services to meet their needs.
• Regularly contacting clients as per schedule to ensure timely communication.

As an Industrial Relations Consultant, you will handle a range of tasks including:

• Chairing disciplinary inquiries with fairness and professionalism.
• Drafting judgments for clients that are clear and concise.
• Assisting with issuing warnings to ensure compliance with labour laws.
• Drafting and implementing policies that align with company goals.

You will also be responsible for more complex issues such as:

• Strike management, where you will provide guidance and support to clients during this challenging time.

Desired Experience & Qualification

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• A customer-first mindset and a strong understanding of industrial relations principles.
• A degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Law or a related field.
• At least one year's experience in industrial relations, with a passion for learning and staying up-to-date with labour law changes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with clients.
• The ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions quickly.
• A valid driver's license and own vehicle is essential for travel to client sites.
• Residency in the DBN North, Umhlanga/Ballito area is preferred.
