    PURPOSE:

  • To execute the business partnering role for the Business Unit.
  • Responsible for the management accounting function including the planning, budgets and forecasts.
  • Interpret the financial results, monitor cash flow, capital expenditure programmes and management reporting systems development.

    Minimum Requirements

    QUALIFICATIONS:
  • BCom Management Accounting (Essential/Minimum)
  • Certificate First Line Management (Recommended/Desirable)

    EXPERIENCE:
  • 3-5 years Relevant Accounting, Finance or related. Essential/Minimum Operational

    REQUIREMENTS:
  • Psychometric Assessment (Essential/Minimum)
  • Certificate of Fitness (Essential/Minimum)

    Duties & Responsibilities

    Business Performance and Operations
  • Prepare internal management reports
  • Interpret and integrate information with organisational needs and operational strategic objectives
  • Provide inputs into general accounting policies and procedures
  • Implement performance management processes
  • Execute capital process
  • Execute cost management process
  • Execute budget and forecasting activities
  • Track achievement of business case, alignment to and measurement against set targets for designated responsibility area
  • Manage internal and external (as applicable) relations with all relevant stakeholders
  • Align various functions in portfolio (Finance, Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Business Unit Departments)
  • Establish and/or implement business partner thinking

    Compliance, Governance and Assurance
  • Execute and implement responsibilities in adherence to legislative and corporate governance principles
  • Manage risk and consequences of non-compliance
  • Ensure inputs into and compliance with policies and procedures are in alignment with all relevant legislation and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • Execute Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) approval within SAP PS Module and CO Module

    Functional Excellence
  • Adhere to functional policies, standards, guidelines, procedures, end- to-end processes, tools, templates etc.
  • Assist in standardising, simplifying and speeding-up functional processes, eliminating duplication/bureaucracy
  • Apply functional best practices, promote sharing of best practices/knowledge
  • Assist in the execution of functional excellence initiatives

    Functional Management
  • Governance: Ensure function adheres to governance, policies, standards, statutory and legal compliance. Entrench a culture of discipline
  • Maintain high performance standards

    Management Accounting
  • Analyse, interpret and report on cost and cost management within designated areas of financial responsibility
  • Track and communicate financial targets to core areas
  • Financial budgeting and forecasting on cost and capital
  • Ensure and follow up on capitalization of all assets
  • Conduct scenario analysis and sales/profit and cash forecasting
  • Execute business partner role

    People Management
  • Performance management: Adhere to performance management procedures
  • Company culture/functional climate: Uphold the Company culture and values within the function. Foster effective teamwork and unity
