Job Title: Legal Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Legal Advisor to join our team at Fempower. As a key member of our corporate legal team, you will provide expert legal advice on corporate and commercial law matters.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Providing legal research and opinions on corporate and commercial law matters
• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements related to corporate and commercial operations
• Participating in and providing legal advisory services for corporate projects
• Managing and assisting with corporate litigation
• Identifying new and amended legislation that impacts the organization and advising on implementation
• Understanding technology law and privacy
• Advising on FAIS and related legislation
• Managing legal instructions and attorneys on the panel
• Overseeing contract management processes
• Providing training and awareness to staff

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• An LLB degree
• Admission as an attorney of the High Court with 3-5 years post-article experience
• Corporate and commercial legal advisory experience
• Litigation experience
• Comfort with technology due to digitization of processes
