    Description

    HR OFFICER

    We are a Manufacturing Company based in Pietermaritzburg seeking a generalist HR Officer to assist in developing and executing personnel procedures and policies, providing guidance and interpretation for business operations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead and direct the routing functions of the Company's HR Department
    • Participate in the development of the HR Objectives and systems, including metrics, queries, and ongoing reports for the company requirements including training
    • Manage all Industrial relations functions of the company by ensuring compliance with the company's code of conduct and handling of all disciplinary hearings and enquiries
    • Ensure compliance with all employment laws

    Requirements:

    • Drive, energy, and technical ability to manage the department and the company's objectives
    • Strong knowledge of HR principles and practices with the ability to practice judgment, forward-thinking, and strategy to solve problems and develop transformational HR initiatives quickly
    • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in human resources, business, or related field
    • Proven success working in an HR department preferably in a manufacturing environment for a minimum of 3 years
    • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations related to employment

    The successful candidate must be willing to relocate to Pietermaritzburg and have their own transport for occasional work outside of normal hours.
