    Reports To: Assistant Principal or Principal

    Purpose of Role: SPARK Schools teachers play a crucial role in driving student achievement by maintaining high expectations for classroom culture, behaviour, and academic growth for all scholars. FET Phase Maths/Maths Lit Educators are content specialists in Mathematics and Mathematical Literacy, equipping scholars with the knowledge and tools required for matriculation.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement rigorous, engaging learning experiences, including face-to-face and distance lessons, to deliver academic and extracurricular programmes.
      • ">
    • Collaborate with grade level and content area partners to create and implement high-quality individualised behaviour and learning plans for scholars.
      • ">
    • Participate actively in scheduled professional development sessions to enhance teaching practices.
      • ">
    • Analyse scholar data to track progress and intervene when necessary, ensuring students meet required proficiency ratings.
      • ">
    • Lead scholar social and emotional development through Character Quotient sessions and reflections.
      • ">
    • Plan and deliver programmes to support low-performing scholars and extend high-performing scholars.
      • ">
    • Participate in place-based education and career and tertiary pathways education to enrich scholar culture and character development.
      • ">
    • Implement behaviour management strategies to promote a positive school culture.

    • Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders.

    Qualifications and Criteria:

    The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:

    • English language fluency
      • ">
    • Completed B.Ed or PGCE degree in Mathematical Sciences/ Mathematical Literacy FET
      • ">
    • 3-5 years of experience teaching High School Scholars, including Grd 11 and Grd 12 preferred
      • ">
    • SACE registration
      • ">
    • Clear/Clean criminal record
