Specialist
The position of
Project Assurance Specialist is vacant.

The
Project Assurance Specialist will report directly to the Project Assurance Manager and forms part of the Office of the Chief Operations Officer.

The position is based at GEMS Head Office.

The total remuneration package for this position is negotiable based on qualifications and experience.

The
Project Assurance Specialist will be required to provide support to the Project Assurance Manager through the implementation of the following
Key Performance Areas (KPAs):

  • PMO Standards, Methodologies and Tools: Continuous review, improvement and compliance of PMO
Standards, Methodologies, templates and Tools including alignment and benchmarking with best practice and industry standards

  • PMO

Quality Assurance:
Establish a Quality Assurance Framework and ensure compliance to quality standards for all endeavours (projects, programmes and portfolios)

  • Knowledge Management and Training: The development and dissemination of PMO knowledge management and training approach and plans
  • Performance Reporting: The development, maintenance and ongoing monitoring of the project performance and compliance against project management methodology, standards, procedures
  • Project Management: Manage assigned projects/ work and ensure strict timelines are met at all times

Qualification, skills and competencies requirements are:

  • At least a 3-year Degree, Diploma or NQF 6 equivalent qualification in Project/Programme
Management, Quality Assurance or similar tertiary qualification

  • At least 5 years' experience of a combination of programme/project management and assurance experience
  • Project and programme management experience highly preferred
  • Exposure to engaging with senior stakeholders (at an executive level) and using interpersonal skills to persuade, influence and advocate for change.
  • Knowledge of the South African medical scheme industry advantageous
  • Basic SharePoint, PowerBI and Power Platforms skills
  • Must have a valid driver's license and own vehicle and be willing to travel at short notice

Salary:
R80, R90,000.00 per month

Education:


  • Bachelors (required)

Experience:
