Description

The Sales and Merchandising Representative (S&M Rep) offers support to the Head of Sales ensuring that products are always visible in their respective assigned stores.

In addition the S&M Rep needs to execute in and out of store campaigns that promote the sale of products.


The S&M Rep is responsible to develop relations with stores owners and managers to effectively execute building of product displays.


  • Ensures all products are always visible in store with the correct price tags
  • Influence store orders to ensure enough backup stock in store
  • Translates local consumer insights into selling opportunities
  • Seeks opportunities to increase rate of sale instore
  • Adapts plan throughout the year depending on sales performance, observed trends, competitors' campaigns and successes to be replicated fast
  • Responsibility and ownership for collating and reporting the analysis on all campaigns
  • Evaluate and share findings on market trends (customers, prices, products and competition) in order to identify marketspecific needs in terms of product, promotions and creative concepts
  • Manage competitor analysis on a regular and consistent basis (acquisitions, pricing changes, new products and features)
  • Help prepare, manage and maintain monthly, quarterly and annual budget for sales spend
  • Seeks to understand the core consumer's motivations
  • Develop and maintain relationship to promote execution excellence

EDUCATION & RELEVANT YEARS JOB RELATED EXPERIENCE
Minimum 1-2 years' experience in an FMCG setting as a Merchandising/Sales Representative

Salary:
R20, R21,000.00 per month


Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Durban, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:


  • Sales and projects: 3 years (required)

License/Certification:

  • Driver's licence and own vehicle (required)

Willingness to travel:

  • 75% (required)
