    Description

    Position Overview:
    We are looking for a competent Driver to transport our goods in a safe and timely manner.

    The Driver will be responsible for driving company vehicles, adhering to all traffic and safety regulations, and providing exceptional customer service.

    We would like to hire a female in this position for further development in the industry.

    Responsibilities:

    • Safely operate company vehicles, including cars / vans.
    • Transport goods to various locations as per assigned routes and schedules.
    • Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while driving.
    • Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and ensure that company vehicles are in good working condition.
    • Keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained, both inside and outside.
    • Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance.
    • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, team members, and clients as needed.
    • Handle any unexpected situations or emergencies that may arise during transportation


    Qualifications:

    • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (Car and motorcycle license required)
    • Proven experience as a professional driver, preferably in a similar role.
    • Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
    • Ability to operate both manual and automatic vehicles.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Good physical condition, with the ability to lift and carry heavy items if required.
    • Attention to detail and a focus on safety at all times.
    • Familiarity with GPS devices and navigation apps for efficient route planning.
    Preferred

    Qualifications:

    • Preferably needs semi-technical capabilities to evolve into other positions within the company.
    • Additional certifications or training in defensive driving, first aid, or vehicle maintenance.
    • Prior experience working as a driver in the transportation industry.
    • Knowledge of basic vehicle troubleshooting and repair.
    • English and Afrikaans speaking necessary.
