    About the Role

    This exciting opportunity is for a Data Scientist with expertise in machine learning to join our team.

    Main Responsibilities

    Data Analysis and Modelling:

    • Develop, deploy, and refine machine learning and artificial intelligence models and algorithms to extract valuable insights, predict outcomes, and optimize processes.
    • Analyze large datasets through in-depth data exploration, preprocessing, and statistical techniques to validate findings.
    • Apply hypothesis testing and analytical methods to identify key trends and patterns.

    Data Strategy and Planning:

    • Collaborate with stakeholders to define data-driven objectives and formulate strategies that align with business goals.
    • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and protocols for data collection and measurement.

    Feature Engineering:

    • Create data pipelines and engineer features to prepare and clean data for modeling.
    • Work with data engineering teams to ensure data availability, quality, and reliability.

    Model Evaluation and Deployment:

    • Evaluate model performance, fine-tune models for improved accuracy, and implement best practices for model version control.
    • Deploy models in production environments and monitor their ongoing performance.

    Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    • Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and domain experts to address specific business challenges.
    • Communicate complex findings and insights to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.

    Leadership and Mentorship:

    • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior data scientists.
    • Participate in knowledge-sharing programs to enhance the data science capabilities of the team.

    Data Privacy and Compliance:

    • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and best practices for data privacy and security.
    • Develop and enforce data security protocols to safeguard sensitive information.

    Requirements

    Education: Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.

    Experience: Proven experience in data science roles, including hands-on experience with machine learning, deep learning, and statistical analysis.

    Skills: Proficiency in data analysis and machine learning tools and libraries e.g. Python, R; strong programming skills and knowledge of data manipulation and visualization.

    Expertise: Expertise in data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation.

    Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills; strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
