Our client in the Investment and Financial Sector is currently looking for a DDQ (Due Diligence Questionnaire) & Reporting Specialist to join their team in Cape Town.

The Role:


Responsibilities:


  • Content development and delivery:_
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify and interpret information requirements, including completing DDQ, RFP, specialist investment reports, ad hoc questionnaires, and similar information requests.
  • Supporting the monthly Minimum Disclosure Document (MDD) production process, including finalising commentary with internal stakeholders and data checking.
  • Liaising with the various stakeholders to draft, refine and finalise responses.
  • Support customisation of external client requirements or specific questions and draft new responses for peer review.
  • Complete quarterly UCITS regulatory board reports and bespoke client reports.
  • Support the ESG analyst to report on ESG matters, and the development and completion of all ESG reports.
  • Check more advanced client queries and adhoc reports and perform other adhoc tasks supporting the distribution team
  • Database content management:_
  • Independently create original content for peer review, or update existing content based on emerging requirements or new areas of client focus.
  • Stay abreast of product branding and positioning developments to ensure that funds are positioned with clients accurately and with the appropriate messaging.
  • Actively use and develop automation tools, including monitoring and building new knowledge base (Qvidian) content at the vehicle/product/organisational level.
  • Interpersonal & development:_
  • Knowledge sharing share and transfer product, process, and systems knowledge to colleagues. Share success stories, trends, and ideas. Bring any issues to the attention of the Head of Distribution Servicesand resolve these.
  • Collaborate and work with teams to deliver required service in excellence.
  • Ensure your performance and growth objectives are achieved by developing your Fairtree Individual Growth Journey to facilitate personal and professional growth.

Education and Experience:


  • Bachelor's Degree. BCom (Hons) degree preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in distribution and client reporting within the fund management industry.
  • Understanding of institutional and retail distribution channels, plus a good knowledge of financial markets.
  • Familiarity with DDQ content management (Qvidian or similar).
  • Content writing experience within fund management RFP, operational due diligence or analytically based financial content writing.

Skills and Attributes required to succeed in the role:

  • Good verbal and written communication skills, plus strong proofreading skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail across all aspects of data, language and grammar, general layout and presentation of information.
  • Being process driven, good at problemsolving and innovative.
  • Being a team player and a good communicator with a belief in strong, open and honest relationships with internal and external stakeholders (incl. service providers).
  • Selfstarter with a proactive cando attitude.
  • Adaptable and flexible with the ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
  • MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Qvidian (or similar). Experience with automation tools will be advantageous.
  • Having a track record of excellence hardworking and detailoriented with a firm commitment to distribution excellence

Salary range from R R54 000 per month (depending on experience).
