Supply Chain Analyst
(FTC) with great adaptable skills to join our
Baking Division on a
Fixed-Term Contract.

The role will report into the
Customer Service Excellence Manager and will be based in
Pretoria.

This position exists to provide business intelligence and analytics to feed into key decision making. processes and planning, relevant to CSE. Provide analysis and research inputs into network and supply chain initiatives, business and solutions development and general operations. Extract maximum value from the information technology, coordinating and delivering on selected projects and project tasks.


Duties & Responsibilities:


Project Coordination:

Coordinating projects as delegated by CSE Manager.

Stakeholder engagement and project delivery accountability.

Provide CSE status updates and flag any timeline risks.

Closing off project by providing a benefit tracker to the CSE Manager.


Network Analysis:

Provide support in identifying future long-term requirements of the network, including analysing transport nodes.

Calculating the cost of maintaining and operating the current network.


Analysing how cost is affected by different scenarios where facilities are closed, expanded, contracted or new facilities are acquired or constructed.

Analysing network nodes and flow-paths.

Participate in modelling the long term and medium-term scenarios around transportation optimisation (cost to serve model)


General Information and Data Management:

For area of responsibility, ensure data integrity for reporting on trend analysis and decision making.


Ad-hoc Analysis:

Provide analytical assistance as required on an ad-hoc basis to the business functionally.


Support the review of data emanating from the supply chain and perform integrated analysis to identify cross-functional cause and effect.

Give input into models to inform operating strategies, facilitate decision-making, make investment recommendations and identify new business opportunities.


Self-Coordination:

Take ownership and accountability for tasks and activities and demonstrate effective self-management in terms of planning, prioritising and self-development.

Follow through to ensure that quality and productivity standards of work are consistently and accurately maintained.


Inform relevant parties in the event of tasks or deadlines not met, the potential risks thereof and provide appropriate resolution.

Support and drive the business core values.

Manage colleagues and clients' expectations and communicate appropriately.

Demonstrate willingness to help others and "go the extra mile" to meet team targets and objectives.


Champion training and development of self and others through utilising available training opportunities or contributing to the development of new training solutions in collaboration with national training specialists.

Participate in and drive regular performance appraisals and ensure that own targets and goals are clear and achievable.


Maintain a basic appreciation and awareness of employee relations climate and ensure corrective action is taken where required in line with relevant legislation and company policy.


Minimum Requirements:

A relevant Bachelors Degree in Advanced Mathematics/Statistics Qualification (University level) / Industrial Engineering Degree is preferred.

Minimum of 3 years' working experience in a Supply Chain Environment, preferably with Transport, Network, Warehouse Modelling experience.

Cost management experience would be advantageous.

Advanced computer literacy (MS Office and especially proficiency in Excel).

Simulating scenarios (using Excel modelling).

Advanced report writing and presentations.
