    Job Description

    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Credit Controller to join our team at {company}.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Ensure all accounts are well-controlled and outstanding monies are collected in a timely manner.
    • Manage all Cash on Delivery (COD) Customer Accounts, ensuring accurate and efficient allocation of payments.
    • Resolve internal and external queries in a prompt and professional manner.
    • Maintain accurate records of all communication on Syspro, including daily updates and customer interactions.
    • Prepare and send statements to clients within 4 days after month-end, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Conduct site visits to customers as needed, providing exceptional customer service and support.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to prepare documentation for litigation processes, credit applications, and background checks.
    • Remind customers of payment due dates, follow up on expected payments, and respond to queries in a timely manner.
    • Reconcile accounts, provide comments to assist customers with outstanding balances, and maintain customer master data.
    • Perform other debtors-related tasks as required.

    Requirements include:

    • A minimum of Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification.
    • A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in credit control, preferably with COD accounts.
    • Experience working with government account collections is highly advantageous.
    • Familiarity with Syspro computer system is desirable.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.

    Successful candidates will have:

    • A proven track record of collecting outstanding debts and managing cash flow.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
    • A high level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to company policies.
