    Description

    Software Developer L2

    We are seeking a Software Developer L2 to join our client's team in Sandton on a contract basis. They offer stability, growth, attractive rates, and a great working environment.

    The successful candidate will work within Development, Support, and Maintenance in a high-performance area of the bank, providing custom solutions critical to the bank's ability to manage clients.

    Key Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Develop high-quality software that meets design requirements.
    • Create complex technical components in areas of accountability.
    • Design system components that are robust, fault-tolerant, and scalable for large complex systems.
    • Evaluate system component designs for supportability, maintainability, and reusability.
    • Deliver observable and scalable software.
    • Estimate work effort and provide guidance on project timelines.
    • Troubleshoot and problem-solve software issues and assist team members.
    • Foster continuous improvement of software quality.
    • Provide maintenance and support of software in designated environments.
    • Develop unit and system test cases and conduct testing.
    • Prepare deployment artifacts and store them in source control libraries.
    • Manage deployment packages and their execution.
    • Collaborate with engineers to optimize tool changes.
    • Ensure seamless integration of own work with other team members.
    • Collaborate with designers, product owners, and engineering leads to refine solutions.
    • Contribute to decomposing system solutions into component parts for development.
    • Support achievement of business strategy, objectives, and values.
    • Stay current with developments in field of expertise.

    Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

    • IT-related Diploma or Degree.
    • Approximately 7 years of proven experience.
    • Experience dealing with technical platforms and development-related problems.
    • Certificate in relevant language where available.
    • Proficiency in Unix, Java, JEE Webservices (XML, Soap), DB2, FileNet P8, IBM CMIS, Image Services (ITH), CMOD, CMIS.

    Key Skills:

    Application Programming Interface (API), Cloud Architectures, Large Scale Systems, Process Automations, Programming Languages, Software Design, Software Development, Software Systems.

    Desired Experience & Qualification
