ROLE SUMMARY
Assist Production in electrical architecture defects related to Supplier quality. Have meetings with Electronics component suppliers to develop improvements in FTT.

Supervise Incoming Parts Quality team, support production, support MP&L, manage external suppliers with assistance from Resident STA to deliver quality parts online side.


POSITION DETAILS

  • Attend Electrical end of line and Quality Meetings, update payments
  • Layout parts as required for production personnel, PVT engineers and VRT members.
  • Communicate delinquent QR2 notices to suppliers and STA.
  • Track and monitoring supplier G8D responses to concerns including review of root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Provide IQ support to production to contain suspect component concerns.
  • Support processing of all nonconforming materials and lease risk to plant MP&L organization.
  • Track supplier corrective actions within the QR2 system and verify parts inplant meet customer requirements.
  • Supervise Incoming quality inspectors.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of a Best-InClass Quality Operation System for the IQ area.
  • Manage V.O.W, pending rejects parts and supplier caused campaigns
  • Review PFMEA with suppliers for defective parts
  • Review Control Plans with suppliers for defective parts
  • Review and analyze dimensional reports from suppliers including SPC

PERFORMANCE MEASURES

  • Near Miss Identification
  • Segregation of PMHV & Pedestrians in IPQ quarantine area
  • Ensure Zero IPQ Caused Campaigns
  • Ensure Zero RED uncontained items on Plant Painters for supplier concerns with known cause in 24 hours.
  • Ensure Zero RED uncontained items for PIC room, QLS Boards, PDA and Surveillance.
  • Ensure Zero Suppliers CR's uncontained within 24hrs with known cause.
  • Ensure No Aging Pending Rejects >30 days without escalation.
  • Report out Daily on Vehicles on Wheels progress
  • Ensure Team members follow up daily on open CR's
  • Ensure binning of all CR before 30 days unless it is on dispute.
  • Escalate repeated QR to coach.
  • Track G8D to ensure at 15 days G8D received. If not at D8 then IPQ need to have G8D up to D4 with action plan for completion.
  • File supplier charge back within 5 days of all vehicles shipped and all parts contain
  • Ensure Absentees less than 3% per month
  • Prepare CCMD forms for daily PIC room
  • Strictly National Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Qualified Auto Electrician with N6 + Trade.
  • TQM will be an advantage
  • Experience:
  • 3year Electrical Automotive experience
  • 1year Software programming
  • 1year PFMEA experience
  • 1year Control plan experience
  • 1year SPC experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES

  • Must Understand vehicle electrical architecture and systems interactions.
  • Understand Manufacturing environment.
  • Electrical automotive architecture faultfinding experience.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to manage conflict.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft office (Word/PowerPoint/Excel/Outlook).
  • Ability to multitask multiple hi risk concern at the same time.
  • Ability to work with diverse cultures and people.
