Medical Aid rate based on principal member only)- To be confirmed- Advert Closing Date- 21/4/2023- Job PurposeTo support the faculty and department in pursuit of its academic and research objectives which include to: teach according to a set syllabus; undertake research and innovation; contribute to curriculum development and design; engage in work integrated learning, and develop service learning activities.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Minimum requirements:

Lecturer (Permanent):

A Master's Degree in Jewellery Design
At least two (2) years' relevant lecturing experience in Higher Education
Working knowledge of Rhino software

Recommendations

At least two (2) years' Industry experience in Jewellery Design and manufacture

Minimum requirements:
Junior Lecturer (5-year contract)

BTech/Honours Degree in Jewellery Design
Working knowledge of Rhino software

Recommendations

At least one (1) years' Industry experience in Jewellery Design and manufacture
Key Performance Areas / Principal Accountabilities
Participate in curriculum development
Perform appropriate academic and administrative duties in the Department
Participate in the Quality Assurance activities of the Department
Participate in research
Contribute to community initiatives by integrating community interventions into curriculum.
Develop and maintain linkages with industry and professional bodies on cooperative education, new techniques/technologies, and research projects
Assist with marketing and recruitment activities
Perform other functions as may be assigned by the Head of Department
