Description

Main purpose of the job:

To recruit eligible and willing participants for the study

Location:

-
Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital, Soweto

Johannesburg

Key performance areas:

Build trust between the community and the study
Recruit eligible participants
Train participants in terms of the study and anticipated outcomes
Preparing daily, weekly, and monthly recruitment reports
Conduct followup visits or telephone calls
Understand the clinic environment and adapt to changes
Build and maintain relationships with the clinic staff
Perform field work activities as required

Required minimum education and training:

-
Certificate in Enrolled Nursing

Required minimum work experience:

-
1-year experience working at clinics around Soweto

Desirable additional education, work experience, and personal abilities:

Able to work in a complex and demanding environment
Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office
Experience working in clinical trials
Good communication skills (both written and verbal)
Established links with key stakeholders in a highrisk population
Must possess strong organizational skills
Must be detailed oriented
Must be able to work in a team and independently
