    Service Technician (Scientific/Laboratory)

    About the Role

    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Technician to join our team at prostaff-holdings. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing top-notch technical service to our customers, ensuring their satisfaction with our after-sales support.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Deliver Quality Technical Support: Ensure timely and efficient delivery of services, including repairs, installations, maintenance, and operator training, both on-site and in-house.
    • Customer Satisfaction: Keep customers informed about repair progress and maintain regular communication to ensure their needs are met.
    • Troubleshooting and Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to resolve technical issues and provide expert advice to customers on instrumentation.
    • Ongoing Customer Liaison: Regularly engage with customers to address urgent matters promptly and ensure all services are completed efficiently.
    • Equipment Maintenance and Installation: Install, commission, and perform preventative maintenance on equipment at customer sites.
    • Fault Finding and Training: Identify and troubleshoot equipment faults and provide training to customers and staff on all equipment.

    Requirements

    • Education: Grade 12 and an electrical/mechanical engineering diploma/degree are essential for this role.
    • Experience: Previous experience as a Service Technician in a scientific/laboratory environment is beneficial.
    • Driver's License: Must have a valid driver's license.
    • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
    • Computer Literacy: Good working knowledge of Microsoft Packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is essential.
