Senior System Administrator - Centurion, South Africa - GF Technologies

Description

• Provide workplace technology support to our customers remotely and occasionally travel to their offices. You will be mainly based at one of our prioritised customers in Centurion
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and support customer's infrastructure
• Creation and maintenance of project and operational documentation
• Support the daytoday operation of all technology or telecommunication devices (hardware, software, server, network, internet, and phone) across our customers (asset, incident, problem, and change management)
• Support customers' infrastructure in our data centre location (server, firewalls, switches and backups)
• Aid in the procurement, installation, configuration of hardware and software
• Develop instructions, procedures, and other documentation for hardware and software use
• Write and evaluate technology related projects, proposals, and reports as required
• Operation, maintenance, and expansion of the network infrastructure (Layer
• Layer 7) principally on Fortinet System
• Manage a team to support end users, achieve their tasks and develop their skills.
• Communicate well both verbally and in written format in English
• Oversee and coordinate the maintenance of the systemwide inventory of technology related equipment
• Responds to emergency situations as needed for the purpose of resolving immediate concerns

• Degree in relevant IT field or have equivalent professional experience
• Certification in Fortinet (NSE 4, 5 and 7) is beneficial
• Experience of SDWAN topologies and deployments
• Three to five years of relevant work experience
• One to 2 years of management experience
• You have very good knowledge in the areas of Windows and Macintosh clients
• Windows server roles (AD DS, AD FS, DNS and DHCP) as well as networked workstations (LAN, WAN, WLAN).

• Ability to document process
• You have experience in wireless networks and troubleshooting wireless issues
