Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly competent and experienced Retail Manager to oversee the operations of our pharmacy.

The Retail Manager will be responsible for managing the staff, optimizing stock levels, implementing innovative strategies to improve systems, and presenting results to senior management.

This role requires a strong background in retail management, exceptional leadership skills, and a deep understanding of pharmacy operations.


Responsibilities:


Team Management:

  • Lead, motivate, and inspire a team of pharmacy staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify opportunities for training and development.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels, scheduling, and delegation of tasks to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Promote a customerfocused culture, ensuring exceptional service delivery and resolving any customer concerns or issues.

Stock Management:

  • Oversee inventory control and stock replenishment, ensuring accurate stock levels to meet customer demand.
  • Implement effective stocktaking procedures, conduct regular audits, and identify areas for improvement to minimize stock discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms, manage stock deliveries, and maintain strong relationships.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance operational efficiency, and reduce costs.
  • Implement innovative strategies and systems to improve inventory management, sales tracking, and customer service.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to recommend and implement relevant improvements.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance, stock levels, and operational metrics.
  • Analyze data and identify trends, providing insights and recommendations to drive business growth.
  • Present findings and performance results to senior management, highlighting areas of success and opportunities for improvement.

Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations, including proper handling and storage of medications, recordkeeping, and reporting.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment for staff and customers.
  • Stay updated with changes in pharmacy laws and regulations, making necessary adjustments to procedures and practices.

Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a retail management role, preferably within a pharmacy setting.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.

Proven track record of effectively managing staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluation.

Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Demonstrated ability to optimize stock levels, conduct stock-taking, and manage inventory effectively.

Innovative mindset with a passion for implementing process improvements and embracing new technologies.

Proficient computer skills, including experience with inventory management systems, point-of-sale software, and Microsoft Office suite.

Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to present data-driven insights to senior management.

In-depth knowledge of pharmacy operations, regulations, and compliance requirements.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers, staff, and suppliers.
