    Communicate Recruitment is seeking an experienced Mechanical Draughtsman to join our team.

    Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure drawings align with design intent and production requirements.
    • Develop detailed technical drawings based on 3D models, optimized for efficient manufacturing.
    • Prepare and manage costing sheets (QCE) and bills of materials (BOMs) to support budgeting and resource allocation for projects.
    • Recommend suitable materials and production methods, balancing cost-effectiveness with quality standards.
    • Support the prototyping process to refine and finalize design details.
    • Maintain organized, accurate technical drawings, BOMs, and specifications.
    • Ensure a high level of precision by adhering closely to all specifications.

    Requirements:

    • Minimum 2-3 years of experience producing 2D and 3D drawings in a production environment.
    • Proficiency in Autocad, SolidWorks and/or Rhino.
    • Matric Draughting Certificate.
    • South African Resident or individual with a relevant South African work permit.
