    Travel Advisor Role at Cullinan Holdings Ltd

    We are seeking an energetic, customer-centric and motivated individual to join our retail division in Johannesburg as a Travel Advisor. If you have a passion for turning holiday dreams into reality and enjoy working with people, this could be the ideal role for you.

    As a Travel Advisor, you will provide world-class service by effectively managing and coordinating the selling and booking of holiday packages to an expanding and dedicated clientele.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Offer Professional Travel Advice: Provide accurate and creative quotations to customers by discussing their requirements, enhancing customer satisfaction and acquiring an expanding and dedicated clientele.
    2. Achieve Sales Targets: Successfully close sales and convert quotations to bookings, achieving personal sales targets in line with company strategy.
    3. Manage Booking Administration: Effectively manage booking administration processes, including planning and preparation of cost itineraries, making flight, accommodation and related bookings, actioning amendments and cancellations, and adhering to payment processes.
    4. Maintain Quality and Productivity: Manage workload and meet deadlines, maintaining high levels of quality and productivity.
    5. Ensure Processes are Followed: Ensure processes are followed to reduce errors and losses, taking pride in your quality of work.
    6. Provide World-Class Service: Offer world-class service, develop a culture, strive to exceed expectations and provide a 'wow' service to our customers.

    Requirements:

    • Travel and Tourism Certificate
    • GDS Proficiency: Proficient on a Global Distribution System (GDS), Amadeus preferred.
    • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent numeracy and literacy skills, effective written and verbal communication.
    • Experience in Travel Industry: 5+ years of experience in the travel industry in a retail or tour operator environment, with a proven record of reaching sales targets.
    • Practical Experience with Travel Packages: Practical experience with compiling travel packages and creating costings.
    • Flexibility: Able to work flexi hours (shift work).
    • Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office: Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
    • Geographical Knowledge: Good geographical knowledge.
    • Reservations Process: Thorough working knowledge of the reservations process from input to output.
    • Contract Reading: Experience with reading and interpreting contracts.
    • Attention to Detail: Ability to meet targets and attention to detail are critical.
