    As a member of our head office based Reservations team, this Reservations Agent is purely focused on making bookings and facilitating site inspections from visiting international Travel Agents, Tour Operators, Journalists and Influencers. This vital position requires exceptional relationship building and consulting skills as well as very high attention to detail - all in order to ensure that we exceed our purpose, which is "To give our guests a complete experience and a perfect stay."

    MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Receive agent, operator, media and influencer bookings, consulting to ensure they plan an exceptional visit to South Africa and see as many of our properties as possible.
    • Liaise with Sales, Reservations and the properties, to ensure a successful site inspection, including any special requests and activities.
    • Ensuring all booking notes and terms are accurately captured in Opera
    • Keep up to date with all facilities at all properties as well as services offered within The Royal Portfolio.
    • Maintain CRM database with all relevant customer information
    • Assist with capturing information in Hubspot
    • Monitor email inboxes
    • Assist with head office main switchboard.

    REQUIREMENTS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPECTATIONS

    • At least 2 years' experience in a Reservations role in a luxury hotel, lodge or head office environment
    • A tertiary qualification in a relevant subject (Hospitality, Tourism, Marketing a distinct advantage)
    • Previous experience in OPERA (Property Management System) essential
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication in English
    • Exceptional organisational skills with strong attention to detail
    • A good understanding of luxury brands
    • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
    • Positive attitude and highly responsive
    • Team player

    It is important that the candidate is able to work as part of a team and is a good cultural fit for The Royal Portfolio.
    South African citizenship is advantageous. A valid work permit is essential if you are not in possession of a South African ID document.
