Job Title: Financial Accountant

Overview

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this position is responsible for preparing monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations.

Responsibilities

Prepare monthly management accounts, including comparisons to budget and reporting on variances.
Maintain and reconcile intercompany loans, as well as process monthly standard journals, provisions, and accruals.
Prepare and submit VAT returns to SARS, handle audit queries from SARS, and perform PAYE submissions.
Assist with audit coordination, address audit queries, and maintain fixed asset registers.
Process monthly depreciation journals and ensure full responsibility of fixed assets.
Provide financial support to the Finance Manager and other departments as needed.

Requirements

Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in Accounting or equivalent qualification.
SAICA articles are advantageous, but not essential.
At least 15 years of financial accounting experience, with a minimum of 3 years in the investment industry.
A self-starter with strong analytical skills, able to work independently and multitask under pressure.
Experience working with multiple TB's (5-10), excellent Excel skills, and proficiency in Sage One Accounting system.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to learn quickly.

Salary

R750,000 - R1,000,000 per annum
