Job Overview

The position will be based on the Secunda Account and the incumbent will report to the Senior Manager Marketing and Service.

Manage the Sales Representative team to ensure KPI's are met (Receivables, sales targets, back orders, customer management).

Complete/ and update the OE opportunities register for the OE opportunities in your area of responsibility with the Senior Manager Marketing & Services Sales for communication with greater organization.

Expedite the parts back order for your responsible area and liaise with the relevant internal stake holders to ensure that Underground Mining meets customer expectations and sales targets.

Key Job Responsibilities


Daily communication is also required with the other departments in Underground Mining and Joy Global Africa to ensure financial results are tracked, achieved, and reported properly.

Interface with Joy Engineering — Product Management and other global support departments as to deliver on business requirements.

Complete executive summaries for new equipment sites where required in conjunction with Commercial department and Senior Manager Marketing & Services Sales where necessary.

Participate in Underground Mining Communication meetings with your relevant account information.

Meet with new and potential customers to demonstrate JGA — Underground Mining's capabilities, value, and reliability of JGA products (presentations).

Expedite the parts back order for your responsible area and liaise with the relevant internal stake holders to ensure that Underground Mining meets customer expectations and sales targets.

Complete/ and update the OE opportunities register for the OE opportunities in your area of responsibility with the Senior Manager Marketing & Services Sales for communication with greater organization.

Monitor and ensure resolution of outstanding warranty claims for responsible area within the company targets.
Manage the Sales Representative team to ensure KPI's are met (Receivables, sales targets, back orders, customer management)

Qualifications/Requirements

Tertiary qualification in Marketing or technical background in electrical or mechanical trade. E.g., Diploma/Degree in Marketing or Engineering/Trade test.
5-10 years sales or marketing in mining or related heavy industry with management of teams.
Direct mining experience with similar equipment is an added advantage.
Judgment and intuition acquired through experience in large capital sales is considered beneficial.
Proficiency with all aspects of MS Office suite is necessary.
Comprehension of Sales and Financial data required.
Knowledge of the market in mining operations is desired.

Must have excellent communication and public speaking skills with an ability to demonstrate confidence.
Technical aptitude and experience with strategic planning is desired.
Experience in managing big projects is an advantage.
