    About the role
  • An exciting opportunity has become available within the MiWay Learning and Development team for a Skills Development Coordinator. The success of the position relies on the individual being able to work closely with the MiWay SDF and various stakeholders so as to proactively create, contribute to, and implement resources, tools, and strategies to support the MiWay Skills Development Agenda. The role requires someone who acts as a Skills Development Partner/Administrator and enabler within MiWay.
    What will you do?
  • Responsible for presenting training courses and monitoring training results so that future courses may be modified where necessary. Recommends new training techniques and programmes. Responsible for developing training to meet identified needs. Assists in the assessment of the suitability of development in the training field.
    What the role entails/ Key Responsibilities
  • Various skills development deliverables such as assisting with the completion and submission of the MiWay WSP/ATR, etc.
  • Management of the effective execution of learning initiatives/various INSETA Programmes
  • Compilation of data with updated information for reporting purposes and ensuring that it is always up to date.
  • Asssit with the conducting of biannual skills audits and annual training needs analysis with the aim of aligning to the MiWay Learning and Development as well as business objectives.
  • Submit any relevant data required for the monthly EE report compilation on all skills plans with a quarterly report to the EE panel and other senior leaders.
  • Manage the administration of Learnership, internships, bursaries and other professional programmes
  • Build effective working relationships and partnerships with institutions of higher learning to support the implementation of skills development programmes and bursaries.
  • Assist with Identifying learning solutions to enhance cost effectiveness and increase operational efficiency.
  • Assit with the compilation and submission of the MiWay skills development and training report for BBBEE reporting (skills spend, learnership, etc).
  • Maintain accurate records and supporting evidence database for audit purposes.
  • Maintain accurate recordkeeping of all training initiatives and training related activities.
  • Manage the data of the skills matrix and skills gaps through defined learning pathways and curricular
  • Monitor the grants and levies from the INSETA System monthly for tracking of grants.

Required qualifications

  • Matric
  • NQF 5 or 6 qualification

Required experience

  • A minimum of 2 years Skills Development experience
  • Solid understanding and experience of Skills/Regulatory/Compliance requirements within the Insurance Sector
  • INSETA Regulations
  • Programmes Adm Management
  • Reporting (WSP &ATR)
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Data Analysis
  • Working knowledge of Organizational design and Change Management (advantageous)
  • Project management experience
  • Understaning of digital learning solutions
