Description

Job Title: Senior Treasury Specialist

The role of the Senior Treasury Specialist is to provide financial control and analysis within the Treasury function. This involves supporting the Group Treasury Manager with detailed financial/treasury models, reporting, and knowledge of IFRS 9 in relation to treasury impacts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain full control of all FX processes in FBH and Foods, ensuring compliance with Treasury Policy.
Prepare Monthly Treasury Analysis of FX position and liaise with central planning to manage FX requirements and exposures.
Prepare monthly treasury entries and analysis of FX hedged position.
Specialist knowledge relating to hedge accounting (Interest and FX) criteria and application to Woolworths systems.
Maintain effective control of Treasury General Ledger Reconciliations.
Manage a team of FX clerks.
Investigate and resolve any FX system issues together with FX clerks and stakeholders.
Prepare monthly financial results and reports for external stakeholders.
Review treasury transactions and reporting requirements between group companies.
Trade Money market daily and FX daily, maintaining strong relationships with service providers.
Compiling Annual Financial Statements with a deep understanding of IFRS 9 at the highest professional level.
Collate and prepare Stats SA periodic questionnaires.
Assist in preparing quarterly financial results and reports to the WSA and WHL Board.
Support the Group Treasury Manager in managing relationships with providers of facilities and SARB.
Develop complex corporate finance models for hedging assessments and FX mark-to-market valuations.
Analyse system issues and provide recommendations for best practice solutions.
Communicate complex matters to various audiences verbally and in writing.
Manage others effectively - both internal and external customers.

Requirements:

CA (SA) qualification with 1-3 years post-qualifying experience.
Clear evidence of technical treasury competence.
Financial modelling experience.
