An exciting new opportunity has become available at Ackermans


The Advertising Manager:
Digital will be responsible for the end-to-end website construction, execution, and performance.

Driving optimal web and mobile structure and design, catalogue execution and content execution of the website with a strong understanding of SEO and UX.

Additionally, this role will manage and oversee the content upload process and be responsible for website budget, performance and reporting.


Qualifications:


Essential:


  • Degree in Digital Marketing/Marketing or equivalent

Preferred:


  • A qualification in information systems, web and mobile design or development
  • Google Accredited Courses

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:


KNOWLEDGE required:


  • Excellent understanding of integration across digital channels (Websites, App, USSD, SMS, E-Mailer, Social Media Platforms)
  • A working knowledge of the latest MS packages (Word, Excel, Power Point & Outlook)
  • An indepth understanding of Google Analytics
  • An indepth understand of Digital Media Mix and reporting metric
  • Knowledge of digital channels i.e. web, digital media, social media, USSD, SMS, E-Mailers and Apps
  • Knowledge of digital industry, trends, tools and techniques and the integration thereof
  • Know best practice in digital to advise and influence decisionmakers about the digital initiatives, priorities and opportunities. Specifically around UX ,SEO and Web based CMS
  • Knowledge of digital reporting and various analytical tools

EXPERIENCE required:


Essential:


  • A minimum of 35 years' relevant digital experience gained in a Digital Marketing environment
  • Experience in working with UX, SEO and Web based CMS

Preferred:


  • Experience gained in a Retail environment
  • A working knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • Knowledge of job ticketing system
  • Experience in managing a team

Key Responsibilities:


Website strategy and planning

  • Develop, define and implement the website strategic goals and objectives in line with the Marketing strategy.
  • Develop a roadmap for website updates, improvements and efficiencies based on market trends and the needs of our Customer.
  • Implementation of the agreed Digital marketing processes flow from handover of the promotional grid to post campaign analysis.
  • Provide input to the website budget and manage budget accordingly

Management of website development and health, web maintenance, user change requests

  • Design, development, maintenance of the endtoend website
  • Inputs/role players: UX reporting, front/backend developers, OC Manager, Competitor & Industry analysis
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure website functionality, security and performance is at optimal level.
  • Assist with testing and customer experience.
  • Incident management: liaising with technical team to ensure customer, business and marketing issues and bugs are resolved.
  • Determine impact of possible change, flagging risks and providing input into changes understanding the customer journey
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and ensure timely solutions

Catalogue and content execution

  • Quality check website execution of catalogue and refer issues to rectify.
  • Communicate with the Merchandise teams to ensure full, ontime and enriched content.
  • Communicate with the photography studio / online commerce / buying with reference to display of visuals.
  • Manage content plan for the website and ensure ontime execution on visual and written content.

Reporting and analytics

  • Continuously analyse customer behaviour and engagement patterns to identify opportunities for improving conversion rates
  • Implement conversion rate optimisation techniques to enhance website performance
  • Monitor website traffic, customer behavior, and other relevant metrics using analytics and reporting tools to assess performance and make datadriven website decisions and/or changes.
