    About the Job

    We are seeking an experienced Technical Support Specialist to join our team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machinery maintenance and repairs, with expertise in JLG, Genie, Magni, and Manitou equipment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide technical support and training to customers, field service technicians, and workshop staff in the region.
    • Ensure proper machine and equipment training to upskill workshop and field service technicians to accomplish functional tasks to a high standard.
    • Travel to sites within the region to support technicians with troubleshooting, repair, and quality assessments.
    • Mentor technicians in resolving complicated faults and create an environment where technicians are constantly learning and sharing their learnings and methodologies.

    Requirements:

    • Matric / Grade 12 qualification.
    • Trade Qualification: Millwright / Auto Electrician or similar.
    • Minimum 3 years experience in a Technical Support Specialist role.
    • Minimum 5 years previous employment experience as a Technician (maintenance and repairs on MWEPs, telehandlers, forklifts, and related material handling equipment).
    • JLG, Genie, Magni, and Manitou or similar brand experience.
    • Minimum 5 years previous employment experience with technical field services (maintenance and repairs).
    • Minimum 3 years customer service experience (guided and advised internal and external customers on technical services, maintenance, and repairs).
