Minimum Requirements for the ROLE:
- As an independent and accountable individual, the primary focus is on overseeing all aspects of procurement for the Cape Town Branch.
- Adjudicate and convert authorized requisitions into orders on a daytoday basis for Cape Town (CPT).
- Act as the primary communicator of procurement information between Operations and Vendors through daily interactions and formal meeting minutes with action points.
- Implement and maintain an efficient workflow between Operations and Procurement, ensuring deadlines are met for optimal efficiency and value.
- Establish and reinforce relationships with local CPT vendors, with the Senior Contract Manager maintaining the overarching relationship with all vendors.
- Manage vendors, ensuring adherence to quality, correct stock specifications, timely lead and delivery times, HACCP requirements, and overall maintenance of service levels.
- Formally report instances of vendor indiscipline when necessary.
- Complete daily invoicing control functions, with a specific focus on resolving orange queries, including credit requests for pricing and quantity discrepancies.
- Communicate correct lead times to Client Operations and ensure compliance.
- Provide firstline support to Cape Town Management on procurement matters, troubleshoot queries, and address adhoc collection of stock items in case of vendor default.
- Manage and report on emergency stock requests.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the Client's business, including volume fluctuations and trends, staying informed about all procurementrelated issues.
- Conduct adhoc pricing and reporting exercises.
- Expand the existing supplier database and proactively manage substitute items and vendors as needed.
- Ensure alignment of all strategies with Wanama's contract with the Client, emphasizing direct purchasing.
- Proactively implement action steps as needed.
- Provide system support (TP) to all users in CPT.
- Manage and update the Cape Town Database, focusing on key data as highlighted on the TP dashboard.
- Activate the Disaster Recovery Plan if and when the TP system is unavailable.
- Support operations in accurately managing stock within the stock system.
- Proactively manage the definition of specifications with operations and propose alternative product solutions.
- Actively manage monthtomonth and yearonyear inflation, implementing action plans to enhance value continuously.
- Manage and report on all compliancerelated matters.
- Assist with unit food safety and associated documentation.
Salary:
R20 000,00 - R25 000,00 per month
Ability to Relocate:
- Cape Town,
Western Cape:
Relocate before starting work (required)
