    Product Manager Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Product Manager to lead our OTC and Front Shop portfolio, driving strategy development for our top leading products.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    The ideal candidate will have the following duties:

    • Develop and implement promotional activities aligned with marketing plans and sales cycles to achieve sales targets and increase market share.
    • Establish and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to support our brands.
    • Participate in annual and rolling forecasting exercises.
    • Manage costs effectively and ensure budget compliance.
    • Develop a long-term strategic plan to grow our product portfolio and individual brands, working closely with the Marketing Manager and leveraging sound marketing principles and analysis tools.
    • Create and execute an annual promotional plan to meet sales targets and expand market share through effective sales cycle planning and communication strategies.
    • Maintain ongoing liaison with KOLs in relevant fields.
    • Oversee financial management of the marketing program, including budget planning, resource allocation, and report preparation.
    • Support efforts to enter new markets, including the Public Sector and Export Markets.
    • Analyze external data from IMS, ImpactRx, and other sources to inform business decisions, focusing on market share, total market, doctor prescription, sales growth vs. competitors, trends, and other key metrics.
    • Serve as the 'market expert' within the organization, communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Contribute to monthly rolling unit forecasts for supply planning purposes.
    • Foster close partnerships with key support organizations, such as Advertising Agencies and PR Agencies, to deliver high-quality programs on time and within budget.

    Requirements

    The successful candidate will possess:

    • A tertiary qualification in marketing or a related field.
    • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry product management.
    • Expert knowledge of regulatory and code of conduct issues impacting marketing.
    • The ability to negotiate effectively with internal contacts to implement best practices and minimize disruption to the organization.
    • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to create win-win outcomes with business partners, academics, KOLs, professional societies, and internal contacts.
    • A track record of influencing people within Government Agencies and other healthcare stakeholders.
    • A solid understanding of the healthcare delivery system and relevant data sources.
    • The willingness to take leadership roles and become an expert on markets relevant to our product portfolio.
    • A professional demeanor and high energy level, with the ability to work effectively in team situations and autonomously.
    • Proactive approach to staying up-to-date with industry developments and customer expectations.
    • Self-reliance and demonstrated PC skills.
    • Adaptability to changing business demands.
