    Description

    Job Title: Systems Engineer

    We are seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to oversee the lifecycle management of operating systems and the Ansible Automation Platform. This includes performing housekeeping, monitoring, and managing the platform to ensure stability, performance, and cost optimization.

    This is a long-term fixed contract with a Hybrid model that spans 3 years, renewable and ongoing.

    Responsibilities:

    • Create, manage, and operate Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
    • Perform operating system and Ansible Automation Platform lifecycle management.
    • Interact with Enterprise GitHub for version control and Git branching strategy.
    • Track and update Jira user stories to meet due dates.
    • Assist in maintaining system stability and adherence to Group Operations standards.
    • Ensure quality and up-to-date content in the knowledge base for the sub-product.
    • Maintain quality and up-to-date content in Sub-Product documentation and compliancy required documents.
    • Perform housekeeping, monitoring, and managing of the Ansible Automation Platform focusing on stability, performance, and cost optimization.
    • Manage Problem, Incident, and Change processes for dedicated IT Service Management.
    • Be willing to participate in standby duties and work on weekends if needed.
    • Keep documentation up to date in all relevant systems.
    • Attend and moderate operation meetings.
    • Manage security vulnerabilities.

    Qualifications/Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or equivalent experience.
    • Experience with Ansible Core and Ansible Automation Platform (or Ansible Tower/AWX).
    • Experience with Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu, SLES).
    • Experience with coding and scripting (Bash, PowerShell etc). (Advantageous)
    • Experience with Cloud Technologies (AWS, Azure).
    • Experience with Red Hat Satellite (Advantageous).
    • Any Linux certification such as RHCSA (Advantageous).
    • ITIL certification (Advantageous).
    • Minimum 2 years of configuration management and automation experience.
    • Minimum 2 years of ITIL work experience.
    • Minimum 2 years of Scrum work experience.
    • Minimum 2 years of operating system administration work experience.

    Minimum Skills:

    • Familiarity with Confluence, Jira, and Bitbucket/GitHub.
    • Familiarity with Ansible Core and Ansible Automation Platform/Ansible Tower.
    • Basic understanding of Virtualisation technologies such as VMWare.
    • Basic understanding of Private Cloud solutions.
    • Basic understanding of Windows Server.
    • Basic understanding of Dynatrace.
    • Basic understanding of Splunk.
    • Basic understanding of containerization technologies such as podman, Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
    • Basic understanding of Directory Access Manager (DIVA).
    • Basic understanding of Intelligent Storage Orchestration Environment (iStore) and Active Directory Gruppentool (ADGR).
    • Basic understanding of ITIL and ITSM such as Problem-Incident-Change processes.
    • Basic understanding of ITSM Suite.
    • Any additional responsibilities assigned in the Agile Working Model (AWM) Charter.

    Additional Skills:

    • Experience with Ansible Core and Ansible Automation Platform (or Ansible Tower/AWX).
    • Experience with Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu, SLES).
    • Experience with coding and scripting (Bash, PowerShell etc). (Advantageous)
    • Experience with Cloud Technologies (AWS, Azure).
