Main Purpose


To promote and develop business in the Industrial Air Filtration Division's sphere of expertise and area of operation with a view to keeping abreast with and improving Donaldson Filtration Systems' overall turnover and profit forecasts.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**- To promote and develop business in the Industrial Air Filtration Division's sphere of expertise and area of operation with a view to keeping abreast with and improving Donaldson Filtration Systems' overall turnover and profit forecasts.


  • Promotion of new business opportunities from within designated geographic and demographic areas of responsibility.
  • Servicing of existing business opportunities from within designated geographic and demographic areas of responsibility.
  • Assisting in the development of spares and servicing business in the designated geographic and demographic areas of responsibility.
  • Collection and simulation of information required for production well engineered and accurately costed solutions to client needs.
  • Presentation of solutions to clients.
  • Follow up and closure of all business opportunities.
  • Production of business opportunity and follow up reports.
  • Maintenance of business opportunity recording and filing systems.
  • Keeping abreast with company product developments and their areas of opportunity.

Qualifications & Job Requirements

  • National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or higher
years' experience in a technical sales role

  • Computer literacy (Microsoft office suite, CRM)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven external sales track record
  • Commercial sales knowledge
  • Confident and determined approach
  • Selfmotivated and driven
  • The ability to work in a team
  • The capacity to flourish in a competitive environment
