Are you an experienced investment professional with a passion for project finance? We are seeking a Senior Investment Officer (Project Finance) to join our team.

If you have a strong track record in appraising, negotiating, and closing project finance transactions, and if you possess the skills and abilities to structure complex financial instruments, we want to hear from you.


_ Requirements:

  • An Honours degree in finance, business, accounting, engineering, or economics
  • A postgraduate qualification such as a CA, CFA, or MBA would be a strong advantage
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years' experience in appraising, negotiating, and closing project finance, corporate finance, or structured finance transactions in a financial institution
  • Experience in successful investment appraisal, analysis, and implementation
  • Proven track record in leading project teams with highlevel stakeholders and qualified professionals
  • Experience in using financial models
  • Experience in doing business in Africa is a requirement

Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrable track record of originating, structuring, and closing project financing transactions
  • Highly knowledgeable with financing infrastructure and industrial sector projects
  • Familiarity with types of agreements/contracts typically used in limited recourse project finance
  • Ability to structure a variety of complex financial instruments, including debt and equity
  • Skill in dealing with multicultural environments and building effective working relations
  • Experience in operating effectively across organizational boundaries and working as a team to meet assigned strategies and goals
  • Capacity to deal with conflicting priorities and deliver highquality work on schedule
  • Genuine commitment to the highest ethical standards and sustainable development, with sensitivity to social and environmental issues
  • Outstanding interpersonal, diplomatic, and partnership skills required for building and maintaining collaborative relationships with senior government officials, partners, and stakeholders to strengthen clientcountry development processes
  • Superior level of resourcefulness, ability to work with considerable autonomy, and willingness to work under pressure across the entire spectrum of activities, from the strategic level to the resolution of specific implementation issues
