We have an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain (Imports, DC, Transport) Systems Manager to join our Technology Team. This position will be based at Our Support Centre in
Kuilsriver and will report directly to the
Business System and Integration Manager
- Imports Management, Durban Distribution Centre, Cape Town Distribution Centre, Online Commerce fulfilment, as well as Transport.
- You will ensure that the systems are stable, and they provide accurate and relevant information to enable the Supply Chain business processes

Qualifications:
Essential:
- BCom Information Systemsor equivalent
Preferred:
- Supply Chain Management degree
- Project management qualification
- Business Analysis Diploma
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
KNOWLEDGE required:
- Knowledge of Supply Chain systems (Warehouse Management Systems, Picking systems, Transport solutions, Online Commerce
- The MS Office365 at advanced levels
- Commercial understanding of a retail, customer journey and systems environment
- Mapping of business processes and balancing constraints of optimal systems and the cost of process maintenance
- Translating requirements of the business into highly technical specifications in a business brief
- The ability to present business solutions to clients
- Determining the potential solutions and assessing them for both technical and business compatibility
- Understanding of project methodologies preferably
Agile Methodology: - Be proficient in testing methodologies and agile project management
- Have a working knowledge of systems implementation processes including change management and implementation support
SKILLS required:
- The ability to influence across various levels and functions within the business
- The ability to understand and simplify complex distributed systems landscapes and design fit for purpose solutions
- The ability to communicate effectively at all levels both within, as well as outside the company
- The ability to be resilient, have tenacity and maintain high levels of drive and initiative under pressure
- The ability to make tradeoff decisions based on sound commercial principles
- The ability to work independently, as well as be a team player
EXPERIENCE required:
- Minimum 7 years Supply Chain system experience
- Minimum 3 years' retail experience
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a role that required people management and influence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring a stable Supply Chain system environment with mínimal operational disruptions
- Excellent technical understanding of system interfaces and integration
- Recommend and facilitate the design and implementation of new system solutions, system, and process enhancements within the framework of the broader departmental strategy and specific implementation goals defined for each project.
- Team management & prioritization of tasks
- Close collaboration with customers to ensure that we deliver value
- Perform business owner functions during the implementation phase of projects
- Act as custodian of department specific systems
- Financial Managementof project spend
- Stakeholder Management / Customer Focus
- Talent Management
