    Key Job Responsibilities

    A dynamic Senior HR Officer is required to manage the day-to-day activities of the Human Resources department.

    Primary Responsibilities

    1. Compile, issue and collect employee contracts and policies for all new employees. Assist in signing documents and communicate with Payroll regarding documentation.
    2. Load new employees on the HR database, transfer employees on VIP Payroll, and perform full administration functions for HR on VIP Payroll.
    3. Update the HR system daily, weekly, and monthly with leave balances and clock-in records.
    4. Maintain electronic employee files and ensure all new documents are added to the HR record-keeping system.
    5. Attend to disciplinary steps as needed (counseling, written warnings, disciplinary hearings, and CCMA representation).
    6. Compile and submit payroll documents to the payroll department by the 20th of each month.
    7. Ensure completion of the exit process and maintain the exit process file.
    8. Assist with wage negotiations and maintain union administration records.
    9. Assist in compiling Employment Equity reports once per year.
    10. Assist in compiling and submitting relevant skills development plans.
    11. Prepare bundles and represent the entity at CCMA proceedings.
    12. Perform additional tasks allocated by the Head of Department or Director.
