Job Summary

Within the Telecom, Digital Infrastructure, Media and Technology (TMT) related areas, focus on:
‒ the acquisition of new clients in terms of the IBD framework industry groups and sectors

‒ the generation of ideas for financial sponsors and private equity in the sector

‒ the origination and formalizing of executable event driven mandates for core IBD products with new and existing clients particularly in the advisory, capital markets and event lending product areas

‒ continuous client engagement to ensure ongoing strategic dialogue at the executive level

‒ cross selling of CIB Products where possible

‒ developing industry and sector expertise and understanding. Thought leadership in the sector

‒ working together with Product, Client Coverage and other IBD teams identify strategic new IBD opportunities


Job Description:

The Investment Banker - Business Development will focus on driving of the origination of significant event driven mandated fee revenues deals across the IBD suite of products including:

  • M&A advisory
  • Capital market raisings across debt and equity including equity derivatives, structured equity
  • Bank debt raising
  • Risk solutions
With a key focus on the Telecom, Digital Infrastructure, Media and Technology (TMT) related areas, successful incumbent will focus on:

  • the acquisition of new clients in terms of the IBD framework industry groups and sectors
  • the generation of ideas for financial sponsors and private equity in the sector
  • the origination and formalizing of executable event driven mandates for core IBD products with new and existing clients particularly in the advisory, capital markets and event lending product areas

Education

Bachelor's Degrees and Advanced Diplomas:
Business, Commerce and Management Studies (required)
