Employ Africa is looking for a
Payroll Business Unit Manager to join their busy head office in Durban


Duties and Responsibilities
***- Responsible for day-to-day/monthly processing of payroll.

  • Maintain payroll information by collating, calculating, and entering data.
  • Administer payroll workload to meet operational requirements.
  • Process payroll and ensure the Employ Africa procedures are compliant, efficient, and current.
  • Manage and resolve any issues related to payroll.
  • Report all payroll related queries to management and escalate matters that need assistance with resolution.
  • Responsible for creating payment instruction and payment reconciliation.
  • Prepare monthly reports, and reconciliations.
  • Create monthly payment instruction and advise Finance Manager once this is done.
  • Tracking monthly incoming funds and providing the Finance/ Assistant Finance Manager with the payment allocations.
  • Create standard and ad hoc reports re monthly new hires, termination, headcount
  • Responsible for ensuring accuracy of statutory submissions
  • Ensure approved reports are sent to in country partner /Regional Accountant for submission a minimum of 48 hours before the submission and payment deadline.
  • Responsible for keeping abreast of gazetted changes per relevant country
  • Keep abreast of changes to regulations by regularly communicating with in country partners and checking authorities' websites for tax alerts.

  • B CoM/Finance Degree in Progress

Experience Requirements:

Essential Experience:

  • 3 years' experience in general accounting function, including tax
-
Preferred Experience - 3 years plus relevant experience gained dealing with multiple countries. Including tax and compliance


Knowledge and Skills required:

Essential Knowledge
  • Pastel, Xero, strong excel, tax submissions,

Essential Skills:


  • Financial acumen, adjustments, prepare reports, cash flow preparation, strong computer literacy
