    Job Title: Training and Safety Coordinator

    Key Outputs & Responsibilities

    • Develop, implement and maintain new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as required.
    • Evaluate and measure factory SOP competency and training effectiveness.
    • Present a monthly Training & SOP report to the Executive Committee (Exco).
    • Record all training activities on our software and reconcile with SAP each month.
    • Collect and process completed training administration documents from facilitators within specified deadlines.
    • Complete checklists and forms for scheduled training sessions.
    • Source and book training venues as needed.
    • Arrange travel arrangements for training events.
    • Inform relevant parties of cancellations, postponements or new bookings.
    • Obtain necessary documentation for training registration or booking.
    • SOURCE and arrange for accredited training providers that meet business needs.
    • Schedule training programs according to business requirements.
    • Liaise with foreign technicians for skills transfer and knowledge sharing.
    • Coordinate all training-related activities, including Factory Work Safety Plan compilation and audits.
    • Develop, implement and maintain SHE policies and procedures specific to site activities.
    • Conduct regular factory and site inspections, auditing and reporting non-compliances.
    • Provide safety training as required.
    • Investigate, report and manage incidents.
    • Oversee HSE compliance on site.
    • Familiarity with Occupational Health and Safety Act No. 1993 and regulations.
    • Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment Skills (HIRA)

    Key Competencies

    • Attention to detail.
    • Strong planning and organizational skills.
    • Proven knowledge and experience in preparing for BBBEE verification.
    • Understanding of Employment Equity.
    • Able to multitask.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently.

    Key Requirements

    • National Diploma in Human Resources Management and/or Training & Development, National Diploma in Safety Management or National Diploma in Environmental Health.
    • BTech in either field will be an added advantage.
    • SDF Accreditation would be an added advantage.
    • SAMTRAC is preferable.
    • Experience on SAGE 300, PeopleSoft.
    • Computer literacy - Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint or similar.
    • 5 years' working experience in a manufacturing environment.
