Family Strengthening, Child Health and Education.

These are areas of great need within their South African peri-urban township context and have a significant impact on the lives of children and their families.

Based in Phillipi, Cape Town, Beautiful Gate seeks to appoint a


SOCIAL MEDIA AND MARKETING COORDINATOR


We are seeking an individual to elevate Beautiful Gate South Africa's brand and online presence through strategic social media management, innovative marketing campaigns, and captivating visual content creation.

The position is based at our offices in Philippi.

Key responsibilities for the
Social Media and Marketing Coordinator will include:


  • Social Media Management: Take ownership of Beautiful Gate South Africa's social media channels, with a focus on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Develop and implement creative strategies to increase engagement, followership, and brand awareness.

Marketing Campaigns: Collaborate with the COO to conceptualise and execute marketing and fundraising campaigns aimed at expanding our base of long-term donors.

Content Creation: Produce compelling written and visual content for various platforms, including social media, newsletters, blogs, brochures, promotional videos, and annual reports. Coordinate with internal teams to ensure messaging aligns with organisational goals and with the external designer for brand consistency.

Onsite Photography and Videography: Capture high-quality photos and videos of Beautiful Gate's activities, programmes, and events. Edit and curate visual content for use across digital platforms and marketing materials.

Graphic Design: Develop visually appealing graphics, layouts, and design elements for digital media, working with our external designer where appropriate. Ensure consistency with the Beautiful Gate brand identity.

Branding: Uphold brand consistency across all organisational activities and materials.

Programme Marketing: Collaborate with internal teams to enhance programme communication and facilitate effective monitoring and evaluation processes.

The
Social Media and Marketing Coordinator must meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in marketing, media studies, communications, or a related field, preferred.
  • Proven professional experience in marketing, social media management, and graphic design (minimum 5 years)
  • Proficiency in photography, videography, and graphic design software/tools such as Canva.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in isiXhosa and English.
  • Strong eye for design and ability to create visually appealing content.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment.
  • Experience in project or event management is advantageous.
  • Valid driver's license required.
