    Our company in Cape Town, South Africa is seeking a skilled Commercial and Regulatory Analyst.

    The successful candidate will play a crucial role in analysing market trends, regulatory requirements, and commercial strategies to ensure compliance and optimize business performance.

    This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to support business decisions and regulatory compliance initiatives.

    Responsibilities:

    • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of market trends, competitors, and customer behaviour to identify opportunities for growth and inform strategic planning.
    • Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and analyse changes in relevant regulations and ensure the company's compliance with local, national, and international laws. Prepare compliance reports and documentation.
    • Data Analysis: Utilize quantitative and qualitative data to assess the impact of regulatory changes and commercial strategies. Develop and maintain dashboards and reports for stakeholders.
    • Team Collaboration: Work closely with legal, finance, and operations teams to develop and implement strategies that align with regulatory requirements and business objectives.
    • Risk Management: Identify potential regulatory risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on business operations.
    • Reporting: Prepare regular reports for management on regulatory compliance status, market analysis findings, and recommendations for improvement.
    • Communication: Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders, ensuring they are informed and engaged in decision-making processes.

    Requirements:

    • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Management, Engineering, or a related field.
    • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a commercial or regulatory analyst role.
    • Skills: Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and methodologies. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences. Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of relevant regulatory frameworks and compliance standards. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, or similar data visualization tools; familiarity with databases and statistical software is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying issues and developing solutions.
