GSOC ANALYST ADVERT


GSOC is looking for an experienced
Analyst to monitor real-time events in areas where clients and teams' travel / stay.

The Analyst will prioritize situations of potential concern to our clients and staff, assets and reputation and draft a well-written, tactically focused report with mínimal supervision.


Minimum requirements

  • 2 4 years relevant experience in Military, Law Enforcement, or security field with exposure to Intelligence Products
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline (preferably Political Science, International Relations, International Security, or cultural/social/regional studies) OR equivalent verifiable and demonstrable experience
  • Open-Source Intelligence and research experience essential
  • Exposure and familiarity with classical intelligence processes and methodologies preferred
  • Proficiency in English (oral, written, speaking). Nonnative speakers must have proof of proficiency
  • Advanced computer skills (MS Suite)
  • Practical experience in security and intelligence research and report writing
  • Work and/or study experience in the region desirable.

Duties:

Intelligence data analysis through gathering, analysis, or evaluation of information from a variety of sources, such as law enforcement databases, surveillance, intelligence networks or geographic information systems.

  • Use gathered intelligence data to anticipate and provide a detailed report prioritising situations of potential concern to our clients and staff
  • Validate known intelligence with data from other sources
  • Analyse intelligence data to identify patterns and trends in criminal activity
  • Gather intelligence information by field observation, confidential information sources, or public records

Research and perform risk analyses so that appropriate countermeasures can be developed

Reporting - prepare a concise and comprehensive written reports based on research, collection and analysis of intelligence data

Monitoring - monitor and assess open source (surface-web) information and events using advanced techniques and proprietary systems to provide 24/7 tactical intelligence picture as directed by business stakeholders

  • Threathunt for events likely to impact the physical security of the client and staff and assets whilst factoring in reputational risks

  • Work cooperatively with other individuals and make valued contributions to the outputs of others.
